Gideon Hill, M.D. Gideon Hill, M.D., is vice president and medical director of AmeriHealth Administrators. He is responsible for the company’s health and disease management programs and network contracting services. Dr. Hill is also chief medical officer of Inter-County Hospitalization Plan, Inc. and Inter-County Health Plan, Inc. (Inter-County), a leading Pennsylvania insurer. Dr. Hill served as a medical director for health insurers and administrators for nine years before joining AmeriHealth Administrators in 2004. Dr. Hill led the Health and Disease Management Department in transforming the case management program to obtain URAC accreditation and guided the successful growth of the disease management program. He also instituted a predictive modeling program to effectively support case management activities and actuarial functions. Dr. Hill previously worked in clinical practice at Philadelphia Health Associates and HealthSpring Medical Group and, prior to his clinical practice, served as a major in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps in West Germany. He completed a family medicine residency at Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, N.J., received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. |
